Summary

When setting a field value in a dynamic field, you may receive the following error message:

The parameter is incorrect. [6000:0x80070057]

This error can occur when you set a value for a field that has a non-default field format while also setting a dynamic field. See the following scenario:

• The document contains the following types of fields: Dynamic fields and a Number-type field using the Currency field format.
• Settings a value on the number field while also specifying a value in a dynamic field results in the above error message.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in Laserfiche 9.0.2 and later.

Workaround 1

As a workaround, set the dynamic field value first and save the change. Then reopen the document and set the value for the second field.

Workaround 2

Modify the field definition of the non-dynamic field to use the default field format. For example, in the scenario listed in the summary section, modify the definition of the Number-type field to use the General field format.
