Summary

This article details hotfix 1013177 for Laserfiche Client 8.3.2. This hotfix resolves the following issues:

• You now receive a message prompt indicating that you are opening an electronic file in read-only mode if the electronic document is currently checked out by another user. Previously, you were still limited to opening the electronic file in read-only mode, but were not notified until you attempted to save changes to the document. (100058)
• On Windows XP, Laserfiche no longer potentially hangs when you close the document viewer when using dynamic fields. (99898)
• Laserfiche no longer potentially hangs if you attempt to create a new document by dragging a page from a document into a folder that already contains a document with the same default name if that document is currently hidden from you by a security tag. (100229)
• You no longer receive an "A shortcut already exists at the specified folder path" error message if you attempt to import a new document into a shortcut. (88256)
• Laserfiche Scanning now properly reloads default field values in the Default Properties Pane. (87107)

More Information

Note: This update is included as part of the Laserfiche 8.3.2 installation packages available on the Laserfiche Support Site after March 11, 2013. The updated download packages contain an "updates" subfolder with the .msp patch files. When using the updated installation to install Laserfiche Client 8.3.2 for the first time, the installation process will automatically detect and install the appropriate .msp files located in that subfolder. If you have not yet installed Laserfiche Client 8.3.2, please download the most recent version of the Laserfiche Avante or Laserfiche Rio installations.
