Summary

When loading Web Administration Console 9 on a 64-bit computer, you may see the following error:

Server Error in '/WebAdmin' Application.

Could not load file or assembly 'LfPudgeClientLib, version=1.0.0.4, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=607dd73ee2bd1c00' or one of its dependencies. An attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format.

Cause

Web Administration Console runs under the WebAdminAppPool application pool. The installation process automatically creates this application pool using certain default settings. If the Enable 32-Bit Applications option is enabled in the IIS Application Pool Defaults, new application pools will also default to having that option enabled. By default, the Web Administration Console installation process will install the 64-bit version of Web Administration Console on 64-bit computers. You may encounter the above error if you then attempt to load the 64-bit version of Web Administration Console while the Enable 32-Bit Applications option is enabled for the WebAdminAppPool application pool.

Resolution

Disable the Enable 32-Bit Applications option in the WebAdminAppPool application pool.

1. Load Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager.
2. Select Application Pools.
3. Right-click on WebAdminAppPool and click Advanced Settings.
4. Set Enable 32-Bit Applications to False and click OK.
