Summary

Laserfiche Forms is a Web application that allows organizations to collect, process, and route information. Users can create Web forms to collect or work with information, as well as business processes to define how that information is routed, interacted with, and managed. Laserfiche Forms 9.0.1 is a minor release that introduces support for Windows Server 2012, Windows 8, and Microsoft SQL Server 2012.

Server Requirements

• Processor (CPU): 2.93 GHz or faster
• Memory: 4 GB RAM (8 GB recommended)
• Operating system: Windows Server 2008 or Windows 7 with IIS 7 or 7.5, Windows Server 2012 or Windows 8 with IIS 8.
  Note: Hardware requirements may fluctuate based on the number of users logged in to the server. If you expect to have many simultaneous connections to your Forms Server, we encourage you to configure it with a faster CPU and/or add more RAM.

Compatibility Information

• Laserfiche Server: Laserfiche Forms requires version 8.3.2 or higher of the Laserfiche Server. Forms is not compatible with standalone editions of Laserfiche (Executive, Desktop, etc.).
• Web Server: The ASP.NET 4.0 feature in IIS 7 must be enabled. In IIS 8, the ASP.NET 4.5 feature must be enabled.
• Client Workstation: Laserfiche Forms can be viewed in Chrome, Firefox 3.5 and higher, Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Opera, and Safari (Mac only). It also supports mobile browsing from iPad 2 and higher. Viewing administrative pages (those that require the user to log in) requires Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Firefox 12 or higher, or Chrome 6 or higher.

Note: Internet Explorer 7 users should install Microsoft security update 947864 (MS08-024).

• Database Server: Laserfiche Forms is compatible with Microsoft SQL Server 2008, 2008 R2, and 2012.

Known Issues

• Rules on fields within repeatable tables do not properly show or hide fields. (1013346)
• The Business Process Modeler is not fully usable in Chrome. Dragging items around the canvas or dragging new connections may not work. (101591)
• After upgrading the Laserfiche Server to 9.0, attempting to register your existing repository with domain credentials will generate an error. (96562)
• Lookup rules cannot match and fill fields when one is part of a collection and the other is not. (96360)
• When using the Chrome browser on iPad, login fails with a "Bad request. (invalid URL)" error message. (95711)
• For the Radio Button and Checkbox field types, if the first 50 characters of several options are the same, rules will not be able to differentiate them. Workaround: Assign a value to each option and make the values different. (95534)
• Laserfiche Forms does not support multiple databases with the same repository. If you change the database used by Laserfiche Forms in the Configuration page, you will have to re-enter the login credentials for the Laserfiche repository. (89720)
• If the Laserfiche Server and the Forms Server are not located within the same domain, users will not be able to log in to Forms with domain accounts. (89247)
• For forms with File Upload field types, Internet Explorer cannot validate file size before uploading. (90029)
• If the domain account which the server uses does not have local administrative rights to the server, the Laserfiche Forms Routing Service will be unable to start. (87639)
• Sections on forms that have been saved as images to your Laserfiche repository will appear collapsed in the saved image file.
• Custom CSS applied to a field within a collection will not be applied when that field is repeated. (87777)
• Creating a table field with multiple rows and blank row labels results in a "Invalid object passed in, member name expected." error message. (99440)
