Switching Between Language Packs for the Workflow Designer Can Invalidate Certain XML Configuration Files.

December 9, 2013 | KB: 1013113
Workflow Suite 8, Workflow Suite 9

Summary

In certain situations, switching between language packs can invalidate certain XML files that store your personal settings for the Workflow Designer. When you attempt to open the Workflow Designer, the loading process hangs while displaying the splash screen.

Workaround

Manually delete the invalid XML configuration files before reopening the Workflow Designer. The Workflow Designer will automatically regenerate a new set of XML files using the default layout. In Windows Vista and later, your Workflow Designer settings are stored in C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Laserfiche\WF. In Windows XP and Windows Server 2003, your Workflow Designer settings are stored in C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Laserfiche\WF. Delete all the XML files in this folder.
