You May Appear To Lose User Preferences In Some Repositories After Upgrading To Laserfiche Client 9.

Laserfiche 9

Summary

If you have multiple Laserfiche repositories, after upgrading to Laserfiche Client 9, you may find that some of your user preferences are no longer in effect in some repositories.

Cause

Laserfiche Client 9 no longer stores or reads settings from the local registry. In Laserfiche Client 8, your user preferences were potentially stored in both the trustee attributes system and in the Windows registry. This meant that if you set a display preference in one repository, when Laserfiche Client 8 mirrored the setting in your computer's registry, the preference could also affect other repositories that you log in to from the same computer.

Since Laserfiche Client 9 no longer reads user preferences from the registry, settings in one repository do not affect other repositories. You may need to re-configure your user preferences on your additional repositories in order to explicitly store them in the trustee attributes system for those repositories.
