Summary

The Web Administration Console and Audit Trail Web Reporter portions of the Laserfiche Server 8.3.2 installation package did not fully verify that certain IIS and ASP.NET features are enabled in Windows Server 8 and Windows Server 2012.

• The Web Administration Console installation did not properly detect that IIS is installed on Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. (97607)
• The Audit Trail Web Reporter Web site cannot run in the DefaultAppPool application pool in a default installation of Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012. The Audit Trail Web Reporter Web site now runs in its own AuditTrailAppPool application pool.
• The Prerequisites step in the installation wizard did not correctly verify that ASP.NET 3.5 is installed on a Windows 8 or Windows Server 2012 computer. This could result in a situation where the Prerequisites step indicates that ASP.NET is installed, but during the actual installation process of Web Administration Console or Audit Trail Web Reporter, the installation process would error out with an error that ASP.NET 3.5 is not installed. These issues are resolved in the Laserfiche Rio and Laserfiche Avante 8.3.2 installations released after November 30, 2012. Please download the most recent version of Laserfiche Rio or Laserfiche Avante 8.3.2.
