Summary

This article details hotfix 1013102 for Laserfiche Quick Fields 8.3.0, which includes the following changes:

• The PDF image page generation option now properly creates images for e-size PDF files. (97388)
• Tag and template filtering in Laserfiche Capture Engine now functions correctly with Laserfiche Server 9. (96879)
• The Real-Time Processes tab in the Metadata Management for Document Class dialog box may not display when you reopen a session after you disable a Field Lookup process. This issue is now resolved. (96867)
• There is now improved page generation handling for certain types of PDF files. Previously, attempting to generate pages from these types of PDF files could create an image that only contained the first word of the document or display "Height cannot be less than zero" or "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error messages. • You no longer receive an "Unable to cast object of type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PRIndirectReference' to type 'iTextSharp.text.pdf.PdfArray'" error message if the Generate annotations option is enabled when generating pages for certain types of PDF files. (95312)
• There was a potential stability issue with Laserfiche Capture Engine if Quick Fields Agent was running multiple sessions at the same time. This issue is now resolved. (94534)
• Adding pages to a scanning session no longer clears out field values you may have set earlier in the session. (92017)
• 1013098 The Laserfiche Capture Engine Dialog Box In Quick Fields 8.3 May Not Be Able to Load The Browser Folders Dialog Box After You Upgrade To Laserfiche Client 9. (83761)
• You can now create, modify and run Quick Fields sessions on computers where the System cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing security policy is enabled. However, you will not be able to use the computer to open sessions created on a computer where FIPS compliance is not enabled nor will you be able to migrate sessions created in Quick Fields 7.
