Summary

When loading the Web Access 8 site, you may receive the following error message:

HTTP Error 503. The service is unavailable.

This error can occur if the Web Access 8 application pool is running under invalid credentials. For example, if the application pool is running under a custom domain user account and the password is reset on that account.

Open Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager and verify that there is a valid process model identity for the Web Access 8 application pool. By default, Web Access 8 runs under the WebAccess8AppPool application pool.
