- There is now integrated support for business processes between the Laserfiche Server, Client/Web Access, and Laserfiche Workflow.
- Laserfiche 9 introduces the Customer Feedback Program, which helps us improve the quality of our products. If you choose to opt in, Laserfiche will collect certain anonymous information about your Laserfiche software usage that we can use to improve future versions of Laserfiche.
- Laserfiche now keeps track of field definition versions in the background. This allows you to modify and delete field definitions that are assigned to an entry.
- There is now a one-step method to restore default settings in the Laserfiche Client. This option does not remove saved searches, custom quick searches, column profiles, custom toolbar buttons, optional watermarks, and favorite business processes.

- The Web Administration Console now allows you to input system manager credentials.
- Office Integration includes several new features that make it easier for you to work with e-mails in Microsoft Outlook.
- E-mail attachments can now be extracted from e-mails and sent directly into Laserfiche, without having to import the e-mail itself.

- Office Integration has expanded its support for working with versions.
- Snapshot
- When printing from outside the Laserfiche Client, Snapshot now has an option to save the document to a directory in Windows instead of to a folder in a Laserfiche repository. The printed pages are stored as TIFF images, along with a list import XML file, as well as text and location files if applicable. The list import XML file contains any information you configured for the print job, such as document name, template and tag information, and so on.
- When printing documents from outside the Laserfiche Client, there is now an option to preview the entire document. This allows you to ensure that the print job is configured the way you want, that nothing will be cut off, and so on.
- You can now create, load, and manage machine-wide profiles, in addition to the user-specific profiles.
- Snapshot now supports field tokens when naming documents.
- There is now an option to generate PDF pages as monochrome images for PDF files that are already in your Laserfiche repository. Previously, this option was only available when importing new PDF files (87216)
- The Metadata dialog box's Links tab displays the current number of Document Relationships and Link Groups on the document.
- The Laserfiche Client no longer writes settings to the local registry by default. After upgrading from Laserfiche Client 7 to Laserfiche Client 9, when a user logs in to a repository for the first time, Laserfiche will import the local registry settings into the user's trustee attributes.
- When importing documents, Laserfiche now OCRs and extracts text immediately after importing each document. In addition, the Client now unlocks each document immediately after the OCR and no longer keeps every document locked until the batch completes.
- If you cancel an import process, Laserfiche now automatically deletes any empty folders that were created for that import process. (86308)
- The Link Group Conversion Utility now has more descriptive error messages. (89863)

- When any version of WebLink 7 or 8 connects to a Laserfiche Server 9.0 repository, the See Through Redactions entry access right is ignored and redactions will always be applied.
