Summary

Loading the Workflow Configuration Manager and modifying e-mail server settings may clear out the previously specified password for your SMTP e-mail server. See the following scenario:

  1. Use the Configuration Manager to specify settings for an e-mail server.
  2. View the e-mail server properties again, but do not make any changes. Click OK on the E-mail Server Properties dialog box.
  3. The SMTP password is no longer valid.

Workaround

  1. Use the Configuration Manager to view the e-mail server properties.
  2. Retype the password. Do not modify other settings in the dialog box and do not use the Test option.
  3. Click OK and Workflow should properly save the password.
