Summary

This article highlights the changes for License Manager 8.3.

  • There is now a redesigned Active Directory synchronization system with streamlined options.
  • For Laserfiche Server instances, the Repository Users section in the Register Application Instance dialog box is now in its own tab. You can now also modify the number of repository named user licenses assigned to a server after registration.
  • The installation now includes a step that allows you to specify the service account for License Manager. New installations of License Manager default to running as Local Service.
  • If you import a new primary license that does not contain features in your existing licensing database, License Manager now displays a dialog box listing the items that will be trimmed from the database.
  • License Manager 8.3 now supports the Pilot Public Portal for Laserfiche Rio.
  • You no longer receive a "There was an unknown error. (2001)" error message when generating a license file if the License Manager server has a name longer than 15 characters. (74734)
  • The user interface now allows you to allocate more than 100 repository named users to a Laserfiche Server instance. (74911)
