Summary

When loading the WebLink 8 site, you may receive the following error message:

Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {54713AC5-C398-44E3-921F-6A0B5F2D92A1} failed due to the following error: 800700c1.

Cause

This issue may occur after you install Agenda Manager 8.0.2 on the Web Server that is also hosting a 32-bit version of WebLink 8. The Agenda Manager 8.0.2 installation overwrites a shared file with a version that is not compatible with the 32-bit version of WebLink 8.

Note: This issue does not occur when using an Agenda Manager 8.0.2 installation downloaded from the Laserfiche Support Site after May 3, 2012.

Resolution

Manually delete the incompatible file and repair your WebLink 8 installation.

1. Do one of the following:
   • 32-bit Windows: Browse to and delete "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\System\LFLic80.ocx."
   • 64-bit Windows: Browse to and delete "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\System\LFLic80.ocx."
2. In the Windows Control Panel, use the Programs and Features option to run a repair on WebLink 8.
