Summary

This article highlights changes and fixes for Web Access 8.3.2.

• Web Access now support column profiles for the Folder Browser Contents Pane.
• You can now modify the maximum amount of disk space available to Web Access for caching purposes. Please see the Web Access online help for more information.
• Web Access now caches images in .png format.
• There is now a link to the Laserfiche Support Site in the upper corner of the site.
• Web Access is now more measured in the amount of times that it rechecks for whether the user is currently connected to Laserfiche.
• You can now configure the default resolution for page images generated from PDF files. Please see the Web Access online help for more information. (81954)
• You no longer receive an "Unable to cast COM object of type 'System._ComObject' to interface type 'LFSO83Lib.LFDocument' error message if you open an image from the Thumbnail Pane of a shortcut. (86375)
• You no longer receive a message prompt to save the document when you switch from the Annotations tab to the Metadata tab in the Document Viewer. (86266)
• You no longer receive an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error message after opening a document directly from an URL and switching to a different page in the document. (86258)
• Web Access now correctly enables the Delete toolbar button when you grant the Delete Entry entry access right on an entry and then refresh the Folder Browser. Previously, you had to switch to another folder and navigate back to the desired folder. (85379)
• 1012951 A "The type initializer for '' threw an exception." Error Occurs When Closing The Web Access 8 Document Viewer. (85250)
• In certain scenarios, directly opening a document from a URL, closing the document, reopening the same document and then attempting to make changes could display "Entry locked" errors. This issue is now resolved. (85213)
• In the Document Viewer, when you hide the Metadata Pane such that the Thumbnails Pane expands to fill the available space, Web Access now reloads the pane to display more thumbnail images without requiring you to do a scroll action inside the pane. (84891)
• In certain situations, Web Access may unnecessarily lock and unlock a document multiple times while you are making changes to the document metadata. This issue is now resolved. (83826)
• The Document Viewer no longer occasionally displays an "An item with the same key has already been added." error message even though the page image successfully loads. (83701)
• Web Access no longer prevents you from deleting a shortcut based on whether you have the ability to delete the source document. (62222)
