Summary

Import Agent 8.1.1 is a maintenance release that includes support for dynamic fields, a unified Language Pack installation, and other miscellaneous updates. For more changes, please see Knowledge Base article 1012905.

System Requirements

The following are the system requirements for the computer on which Laserfiche Import Agent will be installed.

• CPU: Pentium III 700 MHz processor
• Memory: 256 MB RAM

If performing OCR: 512 MB RAM

• Operating system: Windows XP (Home/Professional); Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2008; Windows Vista; Windows 7; Windows Server 2008 R2
• Communications: TCP/IP networking installed and configured. A LAN or WAN network if Import Agent will be configured to retrieve documents from a network drive

Software Requirements

Import Agent requires access to a Laserfiche 8.x Server. Import Agent does not need to be installed on the computer hosting the Laserfiche Server.

Tip: For best performance, use Import Agent with the most recently released version of the Laserfiche Server.

Language Packs

The Import Agent 8.1.1 installation includes the Arabic, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese (Brazilian) Language Packs.

When you open the Import Agent Configuration Utility, the program checks the value of the Language string value in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Client8\Profile\Options registry key. If there is no value, Import Agent uses the Windows language setting.

Known Issues

• 1012878 An "Error 2753. The File 'LFSession.exe.1606D57C_7C31_40C1_8AC2_32C0B957420' is not marked for installation" Occurs When Installing Import Agent 8.1.
• Import Agent does not properly handle import list files (.lst) that contain Arabic file names. (55306)
• An "The parameter is out of range or too long. (9020)" error will occur if the retrieved value for token exceeds the maximum character width defined for a field. (53791)

• The Post-processing tab may not properly display the default paths. This is only a display issue. (55012)
• If a field name is in English, the Fields tab may not properly display names that contain parentheses. (54988)
• On the Schedule tab, the Add Monitoring Time Period dialog box displays in left-to-right mode. (55612)
• Certain error messages may not be formatted correctly. (54934)
