Summary

When Quick Fields 8 and Laserfiche Scanning 8.3 are installed on the same computer, you may be unable to launch the New Session Wizard in Quick Fields.

Cause

Quick Fields is attempting to load Laserfiche Scanning 8.3 processes when creating a new session.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0.2. The fix is an updated version of Processes.xml (last modified on December 20, 2011).

To update Quick Fields 8.0.2

1. Click the following link to download the updated XML file.

2. In the Quick Fields installation location, replace the existing copy of the XML file with the updated version. By default, the XML file is located at "C:\Progam Files\Laserfiche\Quick Fields 8.0\Configuration\Processes.xml."
