Summary

This article details hotfix 1012886 for Laserfiche Workflow Suite 8.3. The update , which resolves the following issues:

• When configured to use the starting entry's parent folder, the routing activities will now route to the entry's current parent folder (not the parent folder of the entry at the time the workflow started). (82525)
• Workflow ADO now works on machines other than the Workflow Server Machine. (82530)
• The Configuration Wizard will now finish even if it cannot create WFADOUser$. (82527)
• Active Directory queries on trustee group membership, group members, and managers no longer time out for remote locations. (82702, 82701)
• An unhandled exception no longer occurs when using certain edit commands in some numeric up-down controls. (82858)
• The Workflow Server's "not licensed" log message is now more clear and informative. (82718)
• Script activities no longer sometimes terminate with "An exception of type 'System.Workflow.Runtime.Hosting.PersistenceException' occurred and was caught" error message of type 'Laserfiche.Workflow.Runtime.Scripting.Commands.SetTokenCommand' in Assembly 'Laserfiche.Workflow.Runtime, Version=8.3.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=d8428ff9263e6cda' is not marked as serializable. • The Configure Data Source Wizard is no longer limited to "localhost" when retrieving ODBC data sources. (82905)
• Pressing the F1 key on a Workflow error dialog box now functions correctly. (82774)
• The Workflow Configuration Manager no longer displays a "(0x80004005): Access to Message Queuing system is denied." error message if different user has previously configured the service. (82528)
• In certain startup situations, the Workflow Server could report an "Unable to sort because the IComparer.Compare() method returns inconsistent results" error message. This issue no longer occurs. (82457)
• Workflow no longer reports a "Safe handle has been closed" error message if the SQL database is not available during the Workflow Server startup process. (82458)

Resolution

To update Workflow 8.3.0

1. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or 64-bit version of the update.

2. Inside each .zip is a single .exe file, which should be extracted to a temporary location. If necessary, transfer the appropriate .exe file(s) to the correct computers and double-click the appropriate .exe to update the desired Workflow component.

Note: The update file automatically checks for whether the Workflow Server, Subscriber, or Designer is installed and updates the appropriate files as needed.
