Summary
If all the catalog specific buttons (Create, Attach, Delete, and Detach) are disabled on the General tab in the Indexing Properties dialog box in the Laserfiche 8.3 Administration Console, and the repository is connected to a valid Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search Service (LFFTS) instance, there may be a UUID mismatch between the Laserfiche Server and LFFTS.
This issue may occur when you restore a set of LFFTS registry keys from a backup.
On the Laserfiche Server, under the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Engine\8.0\Repositories\MyRepositoryName registry key, Laserfiche stores a CatalogUUID string value. This string value must match a corresponding registry key on the LFFTS computer, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\LFFTS\Database\_CatalogUUID. If there is no matching key, the Laserfiche Administration Console does not allow you to perform any search catalog operations.
Workaround
After you clear the string value, the Laserfiche Server will automatically search for a valid matching catalog in the specified LFFTS instance.
