Hotfix Information

Install Hotfix 1012890 to update Web Access 8.3.0 to the latest version.

Knowledge Base article 1012880 describes the configuration process necessary to run Web Access on a FIPS compliant Web Server. As part of this process, you must manually replace a third-party component.

The initial Web Access 8.3 installation package contained a small upgrade issue if the Laserfiche Mobile Add-on for Web Access 8.2 was previously installed. If you launched the Web Access 8.3 installation from the Autorun and chose to include the Add-in, the Laserfiche Mobile Add-on installation may not complete successfully. The issue did not occur if you launched the Web Access installation using Setup.exe. This issue is resolved in the Web Access 8.3 installation package released after November 30, 2011.

If you do not want to redownload the installation package, you can use one of the following workarounds:

• In the "WebAccess" folder in the installation DVD, manually run the appropriate Laserfiche Mobile Add-on .msp file (_WAM_AddOn-X64.msp or _WAM_AddOn_x86.msp) before launching the Web Access 8.3 installation from the Autorun.
• Launch the Web Access Setup.exe directly.
