Summary

This article details hotfix 1012820 for Laserfiche Quick Fields 8.0.2, which resolves the following issue:

  • A "Could not connect to the Laserfiche server." error occurs when you click on the Browse link in the Properties tab. The Browse Folders dialog box still loads, but only displays the repository name. This issue occurs when the Laserfiche Server is not running on the default port 80. (75758)

Resolution

The hotfix is available as a self-contained .exe file.

Note: This hotfix is for Quick Fields 8.0.2 only. Please make sure you are using Quick Fields 8.0.2 before applying the hotfix.

To update Quick Fields 8.0.2

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

    2. KB 1012820.zip

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Double-click the extracted "KB 1012820.exe" to load the hotfix installer.
  4. Click Update to install the hotfix.
