Summary

This article documents hotfix 1012817 for Web Access 8.2.0. This update includes the following changes:

  • Web Access now properly stores the first page received from Web Access Scanning. (74864)
  • 1012814 The Web Access 8 Document Viewer May Display Annotations in Read-Only Mode. (74241)
  • You can now export an imaged document that contains no watermarks or image annotations as a multi-page TIFF file. Previously, Web Access would only include the first page if you attempted to export such a document as a multi-page TIFF file. (73393)
  • The folder browser no longer only partially reloads after you browse to a folder that contains a large number of documents, scroll down towards the bottom of the document listing, open a document, and close that document. Now, when the folder browser automatically refreshes, it fully reloads the entire listing. (73319)
  • Certain types of PDF files no longer cause the Web Access to hang during the import process when you choose to generate image pages for the PDF files. (72905)
  • Web Access now has improved support for generating pages from PDF files. (73908, 73102)
  • You no longer receive a "Failed to import new document. (The parameter is incorrect.) Unknown error. [6000]" error message when attempting to generate image pages for large PDF files. (73285)
  • Web Access now creates valid word location information when generating text for PDF files. (74286)

  1. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of hotfix 1012817 for Web Access 8.2.0.

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Double-click the extracted .msp file to load the Web Access 8.2 update wizard.
  4. Select "Repair" when prompted for an operation.
  5. Restart the Web Access Server machine if prompted.
