Summary

When you attempt to print to the "Laserfiche Snapshot" printer, you may receive the following error message:

There was an error initializing the OCR engine.

Cause

In certain upgrade situations, Snapshot may not migrate OCR settings correctly.

Resolution

In the Laserfiche Snapshot Configuration dialog box, on the Text tab, if the Perform OCR on the images created for the print job option is selected, reselect the OCR engine and Language options.

Then apply the settings even if you just reselected the same options.
