Summary

This article details hotfix 1012777 for Web Access 8.2.0. The update includes the following changes:

  • The text in text box annotations and callout text box annotations no longer appear smudged in Internet Explorer 9. (65142)
  • Mouse-wheel scrolling now functions correctly in the folder browser contents pane and search results pane in Internet Explorer 9. (64141)
  • The Document Viewer no longer allows you to arbitrarily resize the internal text area of text box and callout text box annotations in Firefox 4. Resizing the actual annotations still functions as expected. (71388)
  • The "imageenable" URL fragment identifier is now properly supported in Firefox. (71293)
  • Text input boxes in the Search pane now remain editable after you open a document from the search results using the context hit pane and then close that document. (71299)
  • You can now save the value 0 in a number type field. (71332)
  • Column sorting in the Search Results pane now functions correctly for non-full-text searches. Previously, Web Access was not properly accounting for the hidden "Hit Count" column for non-full-text searches and clicking a column would sort the previous column in the search results. (71034)

To update Web Access 8.2.0

  1. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of hotfix 1012777 for Web Access 8.2.0.

    KB1012777_x64.zip

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Double-click the extracted .msp file to load the Web Access 8.2 update wizard.
  4. Select "Repair" when prompted for an operation.
  5. Restart the Web Access Server machine if prompted.
