Summary

By default, the Laserfiche 8.2 option to directly generate page images for PDF files generates color images. If you only want black and white images, you can configure the Laserfiche Client to only generate black and white images through a user attribute.

Use the Laserfiche 8 Administration Console to add the [Settings]PdfImportMonochrome trustee attribute and set it to Yes.

To add the [Settings]PdfImportMonochrome attribute

1. Load the Laserfiche 8 Administration Console and log in to your repository.
2. Under the Users and Groups node, view the properties for the desired Laserfiche user or Windows account.
3. In the Trustee Properties dialog box, click the Attributes tab.
4. On the Attributes tab, click Add.
5. In the Add Attribute dialog box, specify the following name:

[Settings]PdfImportMonochrome

6. In the Data text box, specify the following value:

Yes

7. Click OK to close the Add Attribute dialog box.
8. Click OK to save your changes.
