A "LFWicUtil.dll not found" Error Occurs When Opening the Laserfiche Client.

Summary

When attempting to open the Laserfiche Client, an error appears indicating that a file named LFWicUtil.dll cannot be found.

Resolution

  1. Close all instances of the Laserfiche Client.
  2. Browse to the Client's installation folder. In most cases, this will be C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Client 8.
  3. Delete a file named lf.exe.manifest.
  4. Attempt to open the Client.
