Summary

When opening a Quick Fields 8 session, you may receive the following error message:

Root element is missing.

Cause

Versions prior to Quick Fields 8.0.2 may see this error message when the ProcessProfiles.xml configuration file is blank. This issue should no longer occur in Quick Fields 8.0.2 or later.

If you receive this error with Quick Fields 8.0.2 or later, the .qfx session file may be corrupt.

Workaround

Recreate the Quick Fields session.
