Summary

This article details hotfix 1012701 for Laserfiche 8.1.2. The fix includes updated versions of LFSO80.dll (version 8.0.2.900) and LFSO81.dll (version 8.1.2.726) that resolve potential issues that may affect custom integrations built using LFSO. Both updated versions of LFSO80.dll and LFSO81.dll resolve the following issue:

• When a custom integration clones a Client connection, the cloned connection may not properly close if the custom integration remains open for a few minutes after the Laserfiche Client is closed. This can result in licenses not being freed. (64483)

The updated version of LFSO81.dll also resolves the following issue:

• A potential memory leak can cause a "bad allocation" error in certain custom integrations that iterate through a large number entries using the LFFolder.GetChildren() method. (64991)

Resolution

Updates to LFSO require that the updated version of LFSO be accessible to the desired client program or integration. Download the appropriate version of LFSO and replace the existing copy on the desired workstations.

To update LFSO81.dll

2. Replace your existing version of LFSO81.dll with the updated version. By default, LFSO81.dll is located at "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFObjects." On a 64-bit version of Windows, the 32-bit version of LFSO81.dll is located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\LFObjects."

To update LFSO80.dll
