Summary

This article details hotfix 1012700 for Laserfiche 8.1.2. The fix includes updates to the Laserfiche Server and includes the following changes:

  • The Laserfiche Server no longer potentially crashes when you cancel a briefcase export. This change also prevents the Laserfiche Client from becoming unresponsive when canceling a briefcase export. (65130, 64298)
  • The volume export process is now more robust when exporting a volume in Laserfiche 7 format. (64295, 64292)
  • Certain types of field value searches that search for multiple values no longer return a SQL error and now correctly return search results. (64066)
  • Laserfiche Server now returns an error message when parsing an invalid LFQL query that contains an invalid 'order by' clause. (64059)
  • Laserfiche can now successfully export a briefcase of a folder that contains a shortcut to itself and no longer creates an empty briefcase file. (63707)

More Information

Note: The following patch file requires Laserfiche Server 8.1.2. If you are using a prior version of Laserfiche Server 8, you must first upgrade to Laserfiche 8.1.2 prior to applying the patch file.

To update Laserfiche Server 8.1.2

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Server service.
  2. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Laserfiche Server hotfix 1012700.

    3. KB1012700_win32.zip

    KB1012700_x64.zip

  3. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location and double-click the .msp file to update the Laserfiche Server.
  4. Restart the Laserfiche Server service.
