Summary

During the publishing process, you may receive the following error message:

Error importing view settings (The parameter is out of range or too long)

Cause

This issue can occur when you enable the Export user settings and options option in the Plus Publisher. If there is a trustee attribute value that exceeds 16384 characters, Plus Publisher returns the above error and the publishing process fails.

Resolution

This issue is resolved in the latest hotfix version of Plus 8.1. Please see Knowledge Base article 1012673 to download the latest Plus Publisher 8.1 hotfix.

Workaround

On the Published Laserfiche Repository Options step of the Plus wizard, clear the Export user settings and options check box.
