Publishing an Agenda in Agenda Manager 8 Using Adobe Acrobat 9 or Higher Does Not Support Links from Agenda Items to Their Attachments.

Agenda Manager 8.0

Summary

When a user publishes an agenda, Agenda Manager will perform the task differently depending on the software installed on his/her machine. If either Adobe Acrobat Standard or Acrobat Pro is installed, these programs will be used to publish. Otherwise, FinePrint pdfFactory Pro, which is automatically installed with the Agenda Manager Microsoft Word Add-in, will be used.

If you have added one or more report XML tags to your Agenda Manager 8 meeting type template, and you have used Adobe Acrobat to publish it, the agenda packet PDF should contain links from an agenda item to the portion of the agenda packet that contains the item's attachments. This feature enables readers to move back and forth between an item and its supporting documentation effortlessly.

As of version 8.0.1, Agenda Manager does not support versions of Adobe Acrobat Standard/Pro higher than 8.1, as publishing using these versions may result in invalid links between agenda items and attachments (i.e., agenda items may link to incorrect attachments).

Note: In most cases, attempting to publish using Acrobat Standard/Pro 9+ will succeed, but the links may not work correctly. Attempting to do this on Microsoft Windows Vista, however, may result in a Missing PDFMaker files error, which will prevent publishing the agenda. As a result, Acrobat Standard/Pro 9+ on Windows Vista is not supported for use with Agenda Manager.

Note: FinePrint pdfFactory Pro is not supported on 64-bit machines or on machines running Windows Server 2003 or Windows Server 2008, and it also does not support linking between agenda items and attachments.

Note: If you are using Microsoft Word 2007 to build an agenda, use Adobe Acrobat 8.1 (not 8.0) to publish it.
