Summary

When a user attempts to extract text from a PDF file that does not include a text layer, the computer hosting the Laserfiche Server may display error message dialogs similar to the following:

Font Capture: TextProvider.exe - Application Error

The instruction at "0x00000000" referenced memory at "0x11111111". The memory could not be "read".

Resolution

This issue can occur when previous versions of the Adobe IFilter (prior to version 9) is installed on the Laserfiche Server.

Go to www.adobe.com and install the latest version of the Adobe IFilter by installing the latest version of Adobe Reader on the Laserfiche Server.
