List of Changes for the Laserfiche Plus 8.1 Hotfix 1012673 (September 2010).

September 13, 2010 | KB: 1012673
Plus 8.1

Summary

When publishing from a Windows Server 2008 R2 computer, Plus Publisher 8.1 may unexpectedly close during the publishing process.

Cause

Laserfiche Plus uses Windows named pipes for communication purposes. Windows Server 2008 R2 slightly modifies how it handles named pipes and can cause a timing issue during the publishing process.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available. Plus Publisher 8.1 now properly supports Windows Server 2008 R2. The fix includes the following updated files:

  • Plus.exe (version 8.1.0.326)
  • LfPlus.exe (version 8.1.0.326)
  • CrPlus.dll (version 8.1.0.326)
  • HttpServPlus.dll (version 8.1.0.326)

  4. In the Bin subfolder of the Plus 8.1 installation folder, replace your existing copy of LfPlus.exe, CrPlus.dll, and HttpServPlus.dll with the updated versions. By default, these files are located at "C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\Plus 8.1\Bin."
