Summary
When publishing from a Windows Server 2008 R2 computer, Plus Publisher 8.1 may unexpectedly close during the publishing process.
Cause
Laserfiche Plus uses Windows named pipes for communication purposes. Windows Server 2008 R2 slightly modifies how it handles named pipes and can cause a timing issue during the publishing process.
Resolution
There is a hotfix available. Plus Publisher 8.1 now properly supports Windows Server 2008 R2. The fix includes the following updated files:

The Laserfiche Plus 8.1 installation package available from the Laserfiche Support site has been updated to include this hotfix. If you download and use the Laserfiche Plus 8.1 package after September 15, 2010, your Plus Publisher 8.1 installation will be version 8.1.0.326.
