When attempting to use Audit Trail 8, the following error is displayed:
The authentication method(s) defined for the Audit Trail virtual directories are incorrect.
Ensure Windows Authentication is the ONLY authentication method enabled for the AuditTrail8 and the AuditTrail8Config virtual directories. Instructions for configuring these settings are provided below for Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2. For other operating systems, or for more information on these Microsoft concepts, refer to Microsoft documentation.

- Expand Sites.
- Expand Default Web Site. Complete the following steps for both the AuditTrail8 and the AuditTrail8Config virtual directories.
- Select the virtual directory.
- In the center pane, double-click Authentication.
- Ensure the ONLY enabled authentication method is Windows Authentication. To enable/disable a method, select it and click Enable or Disable in the right-pane.
