Summary

This article details hotfix 1012660 for Laserfiche 8.1.2. The fix updates both Laserfiche Server and Client components.

The Laserfiche Server update resolves the following issues:

  • Laserfiche no longer returns a "Trustee not found. [9012]" error message when you attempt to view the effective rights for a trustee name that contains non-ASCII characters. (61203)
  • The Search Engine now better handles certain types of Chinese text searches. (61722)

The Laserfiche Client update resolves the following issues:

  • The Send to Laserfiche option now properly supports Microsoft Word 2007 when sending an existing .doc file. (59561)
  • Laserfiche may silently mismatch the content of an imported e-mail .msg file with the content of a previously imported .msg file when importing thousands of .msg files. This issue is now resolved and Laserfiche contains a more robust method for managing temporary import files. (60742)
  • Laserfiche now correctly imports read-only .msg files and no longer errors out with a "Failed to import new document. (Access Denied.) Unknown error. [6000]" message. (61326)
  • When the Recycle Bin is enabled, Laserfiche displays a "Move ItemName to the Recycle Bin?" prompt when deleting items. If you select the "Don't ask me again" check box on this prompt and then click "No," subsequent attempts to delete and send items to the Recycle Bin will silently fail until you reset hidden messages and dialogs. This issue is now resolved. (62049)

  1. Stop the Laserfiche Server service.
  2. Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Laserfiche Server hotfix 1012660.

  3. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location and double-click the .msp file to update the Laserfiche Server.
  4. Restart the Laserfiche Server service.

To update the Laserfiche Client 8.1.2
