Summary

After installing a Laserfiche 8 Web Application on an IIS 7.x server, when loading the configuration Web page for the first time, the page may not fully load. The configuration page may not appear styled and icon images may fail to load.

Cause

This issue can occur if the "Static Content" Windows feature is not enabled for IIS 7.x.

Resolution

Enable the "Static Content" feature for IIS 7.

Windows Server 2008

  1. Click Start, point to Administrative Tools, and click Server Manager.
  2. Expand the Roles item.
  3. Select the Web Server (IIS) item.
  4. In the Role Services section, click Add Role Services.
  5. In the Add Role Services wizard, under the Common HTTP Features section, make sure Static Content is enabled.

Windows 7

  1. Click Start and then Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Click Turn Windows features on or off.
  4. In the Windows Features dialog box, under Internet Information Services, World Wide Web Services, Common HTTP Features, make sure Static Content is enabled.
