Summary

When logging in to Laserfiche Web Access 8, you may receive the following error message:

    Method not found: 'Boolean System.IdentityModel.Selectors.SecurityTokenRequirement.get_IsOptionalToken()'

Cause

Windows Updates from June 8, 2010 update components in Windows Communications Foundation that may affect communication between Laserfiche Server and Web Access 8.1 and later. If you have recently installed June 2010 Windows updates and can no longer log in to Web Access, please see if you have the following Windows Updates installed:

982536 Description of the rollup update for the.NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 on Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and on Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2 (976768, 980842, and 976772): June 8, 2010.

976772 Description of the WCF update for the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 on Windows Vista Service Pack 2 and on Windows Server 2008 Service Pack 2: June 8, 2010.

Workaround 1

Uninstall updates 982536 and 976772.

Workaround 2

Install the following Microsoft hotfix.

976394 A hotfix is available that makes the SecurityMessageProperty.OutgoingSupportingToken property public in the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1.
