Quick Fields 8, Scanning 8

Summary

In Quick Fields 7 and Scanning 7, the pane that lists scanned documents shows both documents and their pages. For example, if a five-page document was scanned, the following would appear in the pane's revision tree:

Document Name
Page 1
Page 2
Page 3
Page 4
Page 5
By default, in Quick Fields 8 and Scanning 8, only the document name is displayed, not its page. If you prefer to see the pages, enable List Mode.

Enabling List Mode in Quick Fields 8:
  1. Ensure the Thumbnails Pane is open. Select View, point to Panes, and ensure Thumbnails is selected (orange shading will appear around the pane's icons if it is selected).

Note: By default, the Thumbnails Pane is docked along the bottom of the Quick Fields window. Since other panes are also docked in this location by default, you may have to select the Thumbnails tab at the bottom of the window to view the Thumbnails Pane.

  2. Right-click a blank area in the Thumbnails Pane and select List Mode.

Tip: After one or more documents are scanned, select the document in the Document Revision Pane. All of its pages will be listed in the Thumbnails Pane, where you can select them to view the corresponding scanned image.

Enabling List Mode in Scanning 8:
  1. Ensure the Thumbnails Pane is open. Select View, point to Panes, and ensure Thumbnails is selected (orange shading will appear around the pane's icons if it is selected).

Note: By default, the Thumbnails Pane is docked along the bottom of the Scanning window.

  2. Right-click a blank area in the Thumbnails Pane and select List Mode.

Tip: After one or more documents are scanned, select the document in the Revision Pane. All of its pages will be listed in the Thumbnails Pane, where you can select them to view the corresponding scanned image.
