Summary

This article details hotfix 1012602 for Laserfiche Web Access 8.1. This patch resolves the following issues.

  • The Contents Pane now correctly displays all search results when there are a large number of results and you quickly scroll to a later section. (57622)
  • Web Access now correctly filters search results when the "Return latest versions only" option is enabled in the Search Results Display item in the Settings dialog box. (57573)
  • In certain situations, the Document Viewer may not properly display all image tiles for a page. As a workaround, this hotfix adds support for a registry value that allows the Document Viewer to display the problem images. (58208)
  • The Document Viewer now properly displays palettized images. (57351)
  • An incorrect internal variable could cause Web Access to always prompt for login information when launching Web Access Scanning. This issue is now resolved. (55714)
  • The Custom search no longer adds duplicate quotation marks when you specify a search string. (54115, 58390)
  • In certain situations, the Document Viewer would incorrectly fill in a stamp annotation rectangle with a red background color. This issue is now resolved. (58446)
  • Web Access now correctly supports the "Auto-login with Windows authentication" option when the "Allow Web Access to authenticate users using authentication tokens stored in the user's cookies" option is disabled. (58688)

To update Web Access 8.1

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the .msp file.

    2. LFWA1012602.zip

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Double-click the extracted .msp file to load the Web Access 8.1 update wizard.
  4. If your Web Server is running IIS 5 or 6, run the Virtual_Directory_Patch.vbs VBScript file included in the zip file. The script requires you to specify the name of your Web Access 8 virtual directory. The default name is "Laserfiche8."
  5. If you are encountering the tile display issue associated with bug number 58208, add the following DWORD value under the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Laserfiche\WebAccess8\8.1.0" key and set it to 1:
