An "Unable to find a valid result." Error Occurs When Using the GetResultID method with Laserfiche Client 8.1.

Summary

When using the SDK 8.0 version of LFImageEnable80.dll with Laserfiche Client 8.1.x, the GetResultID method may return the following error message:

    Unable to find a valid result.

Resolution

There is a hotfix for SDK 8.0. The fix is an updated version of LFImageEnable80.dll (version 8.0.1.2). The GetResultID method now correctly supports Laserfiche Client 8.1.x. LFImageEnable80 no longer requires that both LFSO80 and LFSO81 be installed when connecting to Laserfiche Client 8.1.x.

To update Image Enable

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing an updated version of LFImageEnable80.dl (version 8.0.1.2).
  2. Hotfix_SCR47681.zip

  3. Replace the existing version of LFImageEnable80.dll on the client workstation with an integration relying on LFImageEnable80.dll.
