A "Permission Denied" Error Occurs When Logging In To Laserfiche Through Web Access or WebLink With Automatic Windows Authentication.

Summary

When using automatic Windows authentication, you may receive a Permission Denied error even though Web Access or WebLink are hosted on the same computer as the Laserfiche Server.

Resolution

Manually add the Web Server host name to a browser's list of trusted sites.

Internet Explorer

  1. Load the Internet Options dialog box, and on the Security tab, add the Web Access or WebLink site to the list of Trusted Sites.
  2. Click Custom level for the Trusted sites security zone to view the Security Settings - Trusted Sites Zone dialog box.
  3. Scroll down and locate the User Authentication section. Under Logon, select the Automatic logon with current user name and password option.
  4. Click OK to save your changes.
  5. Restart Internet Explorer.

Firefox

  1. In the URL bar, type the following to load Firefox's configuration page:
  2. about:config

  3. Locate the preference:
  4. network.negotiate-auth.trusted-uris

  5. Add the name of your web server.
