Summary

This article details hotfix 1012563 for Laserfiche Quick Fields 8.0.1. This patch resolves the following issues:

• Quick Fields no longer displays a "Root element is missing" error message if the workstation has a blank ProcessProfiles.xml configuration file. (53892)
• When populating fields, navigating to a blank field that contains a constraint may place the cursor at the end of the field. This requires you to manually move the cursor before you can specify a value for the field. This issue no longer occurs. (57153)
• When a session contains a Lookup Identification process and no matches are found, Quick Fields no longer displays an "Object reference not set error." (57369)

Resolution

This hotfix applies to Quick Fields 8.0.1. The fix is a self-contained .exe file that updates the necessary files. The patch includes the following new files that resolve the listed issues:

Important: This hotfix is for Quick Fields 8.0.1 only. Please make sure you are on 8.0.1 before applying it.

To update Quick Fields 8.0.1

1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
3. Double-click the extracted "KB1012563.exe" to load the hotfix installer.
4. Click Update to install the hotfix.
