Summary

This article details hotfix 1012549 for Laserfiche Workflow Suite 8.0.1. This patch resolves the following issues:

• Workflow 8.0.1 did not allow you to configure the server to send e-mails via an authenticated SMTP e-mail server. (56742)
• If the Workflow Server was restarted, any active workflows that were not in the "waiting" state would never complete. (56948)
• Time and date information entered into the Deadline activity's "Timeout At" configuration box was not saved in a manner that took into account the Workflow Server's timezone. This may have caused a Deadline branch to become active or inactive at the wrong time.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Workflow 8.0.1 that resolves these issues. The fix is a self-contained .exe file that updates the necessary files. The patch includes the following files:

• Laserfiche.Workflow.Service.exe (8.0.1.533)
• Laserfiche.Workflow.Activities.dll (8.0.1.533)
• Laserfiche.Base.dll (8.0.1.533)
• Laserfiche.Workflow.dll (8.0.1.533)

Important: This hotfix is for Workflow 8.0.1 only. Please make sure you are on 8.0.1 before applying it.

To install the hotfix:

1. Click one of the following links to download the appropriate hotfix for the Workflow Server:

- 32-bit Workflow Server machines: WorkflowServerx86 - March Rollup.zip
- 64-bit Workflow Server machines: WorkflowServerx64 - March Rollup.zip

2. Click one of the following links to download the appropriate hotfix for the Workflow Designer:

- 32-bit Workflow Designer machines: WorkflowDesignerx86 - March Rollup.zip
- 64-bit Workflow Designer machines: WorkflowDesignerx64 - March Rollup.zip

3. Inside each .zip is a single .exe file, which should be unzipped to a temporary location. If necessary, transfer the appropriate .exe file(s) to the correct machines (e.g., move the Server .exe to the Workflow Server machine and the Designer .exe to all of the Designer machines).
4. On all of the relevant machines, double-click the appropriate .exe and click Update to start the hotfix. Ensure you hotfix the Workflow Server plus ALL installations of the Workflow Designer.

Note: If the Workflow Server and Designer are on the same machine, only run the Workflow Server hotfix, as it will automatically hotfix the Designer as well.
