Summary

When viewing the Records Center Configuration Web site, you may see the following error message:

"The Web application at http://localhost could not be found. Verify that you have typed the URL correctly. If the URL should be serving existing content, the system administrator may need to add a new request URL mapping to the intended application. "

Cause

In a default installation, the RecordsCenterConfig virtual directory is configured to use the DefaultAppPool application pool. In certain configurations, the DefaultAppPool identity may be unable to access needed system components.

Resolution

Using the Internet Information Services (IIS) Manager, configure the RecordsCenterConfig virtual directory to use the LFSPAppPool application pool.
