Summary

When you import certain e-mail messages that have attachments in Laserfiche 8, you may receive the following error message:

    Failed to import new document. Unknown error. [6000]

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Laserfiche Client 8.1.1. The fix is an updated version of LFDocInterfaces81.dll (version 8.1.1.625).

To update Laserfiche Client 8.1.1

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix file.
  2. Hotfix_SCR54897.zip

  3. Replace your existing version of LFDocInterfaces81.dll with the updated version contained in the zip file. By default, the file is located in "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls." On a 64-bit version of Windows, 32-bit libraries are located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\Controls."
