- httpserv.dll (version 8.1.1.625)
- TextProvider.exe (version 8.1.1.625)

Cr.dll resolves the following issues:
- Laserfiche may not properly assign a list field's default value when creating a new document. (55096)
- There is a potential memory leak when creating an entry with tokens in the entry name. (54847)
- Laserfiche may not properly create a new rollover volume when you configure a logical volume to have a size limit greater than 4 GB. (53998)
- Field search may get significantly slower with multiple fields. (55454)
- Laserfiche may not properly handle an LFQL query to retrieve the values of a multiple value field. (53685)
- An "Insufficient space on target device. [9053]" error occurs when modifying volume properties. (54824)
- There is a potential memory leak when generating page thumbnails. (54774)
- An "Error executing SQL command. [9008]" error occurs when running field searches. This issue can occur when using Laserfiche with Oracle and you enable the "Include shortcuts in search results" option. (54000)
- A "Could not reproduce the folder structure of "YourFolder" Volume is read-only. [9005]" error occurs when copying and pasting a folder structure where folders have default volume that is read-only. Laserfiche can now reset the new folders' default volumes. (54530)
Httpserv.dll resolves the following issues:
- 1012368 A "Bad response received from the server. [781]" Error Occurs When Viewing a Laserfiche Server 8.1.1 Recycle Bin With Laserfiche Client 8.1.0. (53281)
- You may be unable to export a document greater than 1 GB in size when using the 32-bit edition of Windows XP. (53462)
- Laserfiche may not properly export documents greater than 4 GB in size. (52431)
TextProvider.exe resolves the following issue:
- When indexing electronic documents in your repository, the Laserfiche Search Engine(LFFTS) relies on third-party IFilters. If an IFilter is unable to process a specific document and hangs, LFFTS may remain waiting for an indefinite length of time for the IFilter process to complete. You can now configure TextProvider with an automatic timeout limit such that if the processing time for a single electronic document exceeds the timeout value, LFFTS automatically stops processing that document and proceeds to the next document. (55081)
To update Laserfiche Server 8.1.1
- Stop the Laserfiche Server service and the Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search service.
- Click one of the following links to download either the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of the hotfix.
KB1012429_win32.zip
KB1012429_x64.zip
- Replace your existing version of cr.dll, httpserv.dll, and TextProvider.exe with the updated versions included in the zip file. By default, the files are in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Server."
- Create one of the following registry keys:
- For 32-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\TextProvider
- for 64-bit Windows: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Laserfiche\TextProvider
- Under the appropriate key, create a new string value named:
List
- Set the string value to the three letter file extension for the types of electronic documents that TextProvider will monitor processing time. For example, to set a timeout limit when processing WordPerfect and PDF files, set the value to:
wpd;pdf
- Under the same key, create a DWORD value named:
WaitTime
- Set the value to the number of seconds TextProvider will wait while processing an electronic document before automatically skipping the document and proceeding to the next document.
- Restart the Laserfiche Server service and the Laserfiche Full-Text Indexing and Search service.
