See the following list of general known issues for Import Agent 8.1.

  • If Import Agent 8.1 is installed on the same computer as Quick Fields 8.x, uninstalling Quick Fields may affect Import Agent's OCR functionality. Run a repair of Import Agent to resolve the issue. (54997)
  • Import Agent does not properly handle import list files (.lst) that contain Arabic file names. (55306)
  • An "The parameter is out of range or too long. (9020)" error will occur if the retrieved value for token exceeds the maximum character width defined for a field. (53791)

  • The language of the Fields tab, Tags tab, and the folder browser in the Properties tab of the Profile properties dialog box depends on the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Client8\Profile\Options\Language" registry string value. (54843, 55209)

    • Valid values include:

    • ara
    • chs
    • cht
    • esp
    • fra
    • ita
    • ptb
    • vnm
  • Error messages may display partially in English. (55463)

  • The Post-processing tab may not properly display the default paths. This is only a display issue. (55012)
  • The metadata display defaults to relying on the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>Laserfiche>Client8>Profile>Settings>ForceLayout" registry value to control whether to display in Arabic. If this registry value does not exist, Import Agent uses the operating system language to determine whether to display in Arabic. (55547)
  • If a field name is in English, the Fields tab may not properly display names that contain parentheses. (54988)
  • On the Schedule tab, the Add Monitoring Time Period dialog box displays in left-to-right mode. (55612)
  • Certain error messages may not be formatted correctly. (54934)
