Summary
When using the License Manager Administration Console to a update a primary license, you may receive the following error message:
Database already has an active license. 2108
This error can occur when using the "Request the primary license from Laserfiche" option and specifying an activation key. This issue does not occur if you use the "Import the primary license from a file" option to add a new primary license.
Workaround
Use the Laserfiche License Activation Utility (ActivationTool.exe) to first retrieve a copy of your new primary license file. Then retry adding the new primary license through the License Manager Administration Console using the license file. ActivationTool.exe is located in your License Manager installation folder. By default, the folder is "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\License Manager 8."
