Summary

This article details hotfix 1012389 for Laserfiche Quick Fields 8.0.1. This patch resolves the following issues:

  • When a session stores documents in Laserfiche, date values may not properly account for regional date settings. For example, date values are correctly shown as DD/MM/YYYY when processing the session, but when stored in Laserfiche, the date values use MM/DD/YYYY. This issue is now resolved. (53919)
  • In sessions with multiple document classes, sample images for a specific document class may sometimes revert back to the default sample image. This issue is now resolved. (51548)
  • Installing a previous Quick Fields 8.0.1 compilation hotfix may prevent Windows from automatically opening Quick Fields when you double-click a .qfx session file. This issue is now resolved. (54293)

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0.1.

Note: This hotfix is superseded by Knowledge Base article 1012563.

The fix is a self-contained .exe file that updates the necessary files. The patch includes the following files:

  • BatchProcessor.Connection.dll (8.0.1.263)
  • Laserfiche.BatchProcessor.Processes.dll (8.0.1.263)
  • Laserfiche.QuickFields.Base.dll (8.0.1.263)
  • QFProcesses.dll (8.0.1.263)
  • BatchProcessor.Connection.dll (assembly version 8.1.0.0, file version 8.0.1.245)
  • QFMigrator.exe (8.0.1.245)
  • Laserfiche.QuickFields.Processes.dll (8.0.1.210)

Important:This hotfix is for Quick Fields 8.0.1 only. Please make sure you are on 8.0.1 before applying it.

To update Quick Fields 8.0.1

  1. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the hotfix.

    2. KB1012389.zip

  2. Extract the contents of the zip file to a temporary location.
  3. Double-click the extracted "KB1012389.exe" to load the hotfix installer.
  4. Click Update to install the hotfix.
