Quick Fields 8

Summary

When running a Quick Fields 8 session with multiple document classes in a Rio or Avante environment, you may receive the following error message:

The maximum number of sessions has been reached [9030]

Important Update: This hotfix is superseded by Knowledge Base article 1012389. Do not install Hotfix 1012383 alone, as doing so may deactivate Quick Fields.

Cause

Quick Fields creates a new connection for each document class when storing documents. In a named user environment, this can hit a connection limit.

Resolution

There is a hotfix available for Quick Fields 8.0.1. The fix is a self-contained .exe file that updates the necessary files. The patch includes the following files:

  • Laserfiche.QuickFields.Base.dll (8.0.1.246)

  • QFMigrator.exe (8.0.1.245)
  • Laserfiche.QuickFields.Processes.dll (8.0.1.210)
