Update to Client Documentation

Summary

This article provides an updated version of the Laserfiche 8 Client help files. It is only necessary to download and install the updated version if you have encountered problems with the original.

To update the help project on a Client machine:

  1. Close all open instances of Laserfiche Client and Scanning.
  2. Click the following link to download a zip file containing the updated version of the help project:

  3. Unzip the contents of the package to your desktop. It will contain a single file named LFClient8.chm.
  4. Browse to <LFClientInstallDirectory> \Program Files\Common Files\Laserfiche\Documentation\Client.
  5. Replace the LFClient8.chm file in this directory with the updated version on your desktop.

Note: This version of the help file matches the Laserfiche 8.1.0 Client. It can be used with earlier versions (8.0.0 or higher), though it will not match the software in all instances.

Note: In some instances, the CHM may not display correctly after unzipping it. To resolve this issue, right-click the file, select Properties, and click Unblock.
